Youth Programme Through
External Faculty (Half Day) |
|
|
| |
| Introduction |
Ever increasing demand for petroleum products is putting
a fair amount of financial pressure on our national exchequer.
Financial burden is even more in the case of products which
are heavily subsidized. With increase in our standard of living,
use of petroleum products Is registering a high growth and
demand for it is outperforming supply to a very large extent.
This is resulting in a heavy import burden. Conservation of
these products, therefore, calls for our priority attention.
It is expected that in future, energy crunch will increase
many fold. It is imperative that we must educate our future
citizens, that is our students and youth, about this. With
this view PCRA has been conducting youth Programmes for the
students and youth for the last few years to reach our future
citizens and make them oriented towards energy conservation.
Though we are conducting a good number of such programmes,
still it is not sufficient in view of the large number of
the target group. |
