The Transport Sector, especially the unorganized sector is very scattered. Most of the time, sufficient number of drivers/mechanics are not available for ‘on the wheel’ training. So, to educate them on diesel and lube oil conservation, workshops are organized in dhabas on highways and trucking centers. Small meetings of truck/bus drivers and mechanics are organized for counseling them and demonstrating the actual tips on conservation.

The assistance of service engineers from the automobile industry is also taken to create impact of better maintenance of vehicles resulting in improvement of kilometers per liter (KMPL) of diesel. The message of conservation of fuel is also propagated through video films on good driving habits & proper maintenance practices. PCRA’s printed literature on various conservation programs is distributed to the participants in these programs. 20 to 30 participants generally attend the activity.
