Introduction |
It was decided to conduct some of the PCRA’s industrial
sector activities through external agencies, individuals and
Non-Governmental Organisation. Industrial Institutional Programme
is one of such activities discussed for offloading. |

Objectives |
By conducting Industrial Institutional Programmes through
external agencies, number of PCRA’s activities will
increase. Also, PCRA Engineers can do other important activities
in industrial sector like Energy Audits and Diagnostic Studies
in industries more intensively. Also, PCRA Engineers in some
selected industries and fields can give focused attention. |

Scope Of Work |
The executing faculty assigned to conduct Industrial Institutional
Programme has to do the following:
- Identify the industry/institution where the programme
is to be conducted.
- Obtaining approval from PCRA from conducting the programme.
- Finalizing the audience Supervisory/ Non-Supervisory
/ Operators, Technicians / Engineers after discussion with
the Chief Executive of the industry.
- Conducting the programme.
- Submitting a report after completion of the programme.
- Not more than one programme to be conducted in a day
to provide quality.

Who Can Conduct |
- An engineering graduate with minimum 15 years of industrial
experience
Or
- Energy consultants with minimum 10 years of experience
in energy related areas

Selection Procedure For Resource Person |
PCRA has to give advertisement in leading local Newspapers
for the requirement of persons / to conduct the programme.
After receiving applications with bio-data, selection should
be done through interview. Alternatively, CRC should certify
the suitability of the faculty and recommend for carrying
out the activity based on qualification, experience &
interview. |

Methodology For Conducting Workshop |
- The programme will be started with the welcome address
of the Head of the Institution of Chief Executive of the
industry.
- The institutional programme has to be conducted by two
resource persons from the external faculties.
- After the welcome address, one person will explain in
detail about PCRA and its activities and also about the
objective of the programme. The Institutional Programme
will be started with a lecture on “General Energy
Scenario need for Energy Conservation”.
- After this, tea with snacks will be served.
- Then, he will deliver a lecture on Energy Conservation
Methods related to Mechanical aspects.
- After lunch, in the afternoon session another person
will deliver a lecture on Energy Conservation Methods related
to Electrical aspects.
- Then PCRA’s videocassettes will be screened to the
participants. PCRA’s priced booklets will be placed
for sale to the participants.

PCRA Support |
| PCRA will provide all free booklets set for distribution
to the participants for the programme. PCRA’s video
cassettes will given for screening. PCRA will provide fund
as per the norms. |
