PCRA Subsidy Scheme for Energy Audit Study at Industrial Complex

PCRA offers subsidy up to 50% of the cost towards conducting energy audit at industrial premises, limited to a maximum amount of Rs. 50,000/- per industrial unit. The above subsidy is payable after satisfactory completion of energy audit and acceptance of energy audit reports both by PCRA and the industrial unit. A written commitment is given by the industrial unit for implementing the recommendations of the audit accounting to 50% or more of the total identified energy saving potential.

Objectives
During the energy audit study the party should ensure coverage of following:

  • Auditing of energy consumption (including any heat & power generated).
General scrutiny of work place including plant layout, occupancy times, pollution/
    safety hazards, seasonal variations etc.
  • Measures of all energy flows including testing of boiler efficiency for steam generation, heating equipment such as furnaces, power generating equipment's and refrigeration equipment etc.
Development of energy and material balance.
  • Analysis which includes energy product inter-relationship, specific energy consumption, appraisal of energy use, areas of energy wastages, etc.
  • Identification of energy improvement opportunities and recommendations for energy efficient measures, quantifications of implementation cost with the payback periods.
  • Development of energy management procedure and methodology.
  • Identification of possible usage of co-generation, inter-fuel substitutions with cost benefit analysis.
