To further the reach in the rural areas, PCRA participants extensively in Kisan Melas organized in different states to educate the farmers and demonstrate the fuel-efficient equipment/appliances. PCRA also organizes Kisan Melas for the benefit of the farmers at locations where agricultural life irrigation pump demonstration centers are established. During these melas, visitors are given free literature on conservation tips for diesel used in Lift irrigation pumps and tractors. Inputs are also given on the importance of regular maintenance of diesel engines, tractors and form implements. Information on conservation of kerosene and LPG used for cooking is also provided.
